Medium: Sculpture, Installation
Material: Discarded reflectors of ceiling lamps, water, Metal plate,
Size: 370 x 250 x 130 cm
Born in Light II is a site-specific light installation composed of discarded reflectors from old ceiling lamps. The fragments are assembled into a suspended, chaotic form that floats within the space.
Beneath the sculpture lies a water-filled surface, set in motion by vibrations. Its moving surface functions as a symbol of life. A digital projection complements the installation with continuously changing forms that evoke a developing organism.
The installation was first presented to the public as part of the Essen Light Festival, where it was accessible for eleven days. The work was also visible from outside, extending into the surrounding urban space.

Unrested Seats is a series of sculptures that transforms abandoned street chairs into portraits of human emotion. By treating each chair like a body, I use broken wooden sticks to represent the emotions we carry inside—like suppressed anger or hidden tension. By taking away the chair's function of rest, the project exposes the restless states that often stay hidden beneath a calm surface.

Waste Dancers is a series of sculptural figures made from found materials. Without a fixed plan, dancer-like bodies emerge from waste, shaped through an intuitive and hands-on process. The nature of each material determines the individual character of the figure: the form and origin of the found objects define whether a gesture appears heavy, light, or impulsive.
Through this interplay of chance and intuition, discarded materials are transformed into a living formal language that speaks of transformation and the spirit of change.

Sticks serve as the primary elements, coming together in a random arrangement to form structures or shapes, each imbued with its own unique character.

This piece was created from leftover wood at ROST furniture factory, where I was working as a designer. Using discarded fragments, I explored form and structure through model-making — turning industrial remnants into sculptural studies.
